Comparative analysis of the impact of globalisation on urban governance in New York, London, Paris and Tokyo
Comparative research on the changes in urban governance and strategic urban policy for the city regions of London, Paris, New York and Tokyo. This explores the period from 1980 to the present, the way in which the policy and politics of the four cities has responded to the pressures of globalisation. To what extent have they followed similar paths?
The research is being conducted with colleagues from each city. A book will be published once the research is completed in 2009.
