The Department of Geography and Environment has launched A new discussion paper series, featuring drafts of departmental research prior to publication as journal articles or book chapters.
We are excited to see that the first paper in the series is co-authored by Dr Jordana Ramalho and late Prof Sylvia Chant. The paper, entitled “‘Missing Girls’ in Urban Slums of the Global South? Exploring the Intersections between Puberty, Poverty and Gender Inequality”, is published in honour of Sylvia’s work.
Jordana was a former PhD student under the supervision of Sylvia, and is now Lecturer in Development Planning for Diversity at the Bartlett Development Planning Unit.
