Professor Hyun Bang Shin has commenced his directorship for LSE Saw Swee Hock Southeast Asia Centre (LSE SEAC) on 01 August 2018. SEAC is a multidisciplinary centre of the School, which seeks to foster world-leading academic and policy research with a focus on the Southeast Asian social and political landscape. Building on the School’s deep academic and historical connections with Southeast Asia, SEAC under Professor Shin’s directorship is to strengthen its work around three core intersecting research themes of urbanisation, connectivity and governance.
