Dr Romola Sanyal has recently published a new edited volume (co-edited with Silvia Pasquetti) that looks at displacement from a global perspective. Published by the Manchester University Press, the volume titled Displacement: Global Conversations on Refuge representing a collective effort by sociologists, geographers, anthropologists, political scientists, historians and migration studies scholars. It develops new cross-regional conversations and theoretically innovative vocabularies in the work on forced displacement, and also draws forced displacement together with other contemporary issues across different disciplines such as urbanisation, race, and imperialism.
