Join us for a book launch and discussion around ‘Displacement‘, co-edited by Silvia Pasquetti and Romola Sanyal. As an unprecedented number of people are displaced around the world, scholars continue to strive to make sense of what appear to be a series of constantly unfolding ‘crises’.

Speakers: 

David Fitzgerald is Gildred Chair in U.S.-Mexican Relations and Co-Director, Center for Comparative Immigration Studies at the University of California, San Diego. 

Irit Katz is Lecturer in Architecture and Urban Studies at Cambridge University. 

Shahd Seethaler Wari was a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Social and Cultural Diversity at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity.

Silvia Pasquetti is a Lecturer in Sociology at Newcastle University and co-editor of Displacement: Global Conversations on Refuge. 

Chair: Romola Sanyal is Associate Professor of Urban Geography at LSE and co-editor of Displacement: Global Conversations on Refuge.
