A new discussion paper by Professor Hyun Bang Shin is now available. Co-authored with two PhD alumni of Human Geography and Urban Studies, the paper entitled The micropolitics of speculative green urbanism at Forest City, Iskandar Malaysia examines the rise of speculative urbanisation combined with green urbanism in Iskandar Malaysia, focusing on a mega housing project by a Chinese developer. The findings are part of the three authors’s investigation as part of their British Academy project, The Urban Spectre of Global China.
Please read the discussion paper in full by downloading it from here. This is a work-in-progress paper and the authors would appreciate any feedback on the paper for further improvement.
