On Friday 26th November, the conference co-organised by Dr Romola Sanyal, Associate Professor of Urban Geography at LSE, and the research project Urban-A took place. Entitled “Markets, States and Civil Society: Strengthening Responses to Urban Crises”, the conference brought together researchers and practitioners to advance debates on how governance across international, national and local scales can work towards strengthening urban crises responses. The panels included topics on Housing and Shelter, Local Economic Development and Energy, highlighting the need to address these complex issues in current policy discussions.
