Associate Professor in Urban Geography Dr Romola Sanyal and MSc Regional and Urban Planning Studies alumnus Chijioke Anosike recently published a co-authored report exploring the expanding landscape of platforms encouraging home sharing.
Entitled ‘Convivial Platforms: An Analysis of Home sharing Platforms’, the report outlines the ways in which home sharing is used to support vulnerable individuals such as the elderly, the poor and asylum seekers. It outlines that platforms on home sharing can open up the possibilities of creating sustainable, affordable housing with a multitude of indirect benefits that facilitate social justice.
