On Wednesday 11th May, Professor of Geography & Urban Studies Hyun Bang Shin is chairing an online panel discussion on ‘doing research in Cambodia: connecting the dots, spotting the interlinks’.

The event is a collaboration between the Saw Swee Hock Southeast Asia Centre (SEAC) and the Cambodia Development Resource Institute (CDRI), and is in celebration of World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development. It is also part of CDRI’s Connect #LeadTheWay initiative.

The purposes of the discussion are to introduce the research environment and infrastructure in Cambodia, especially for those who are new to working on Cambodia; to showcase some good examples and lessons learnt from doing collaborative research in Cambodia and; to highlight and seek potential research collaborations, especially between CDRI and other institutions.

Speakers include Executive Director of CDRI Dr Eng Netra, research fellow in the Centre for Natural Resources and Environment (CNRE) Dr Nhim Tum, and Research Fellow in the School of Geography at the University of Nottingham Dr Sabina Lawreniuk.
